Traditional Internal Medicine – Southern Illinois

• Hospital employed practice is seeking a BC/BE Internist to join their team
• Base salary: 300K with 2-year guarantee
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 4 ½ days per week
• Practice mix: Approximately 90% outpatient and 10% inpatient
• Morning rounds on the Acute Care floor averaging 3–4 patients per physician (8–12 total acute floor census shared among 4 doctors)
• Robust APP support with 2 NP-Hospitalists working 7am–7pm daily to handle H&Ps, discharge summaries, and test orders
• Transition to the Rural Health Clinic after morning rounds
• Outpatient volume: 15–18 patients per day (7–8 patients on the half-day)
• Weekday call: Approximately 1 day per week for unassigned admissions
• Weekend call: 1:4 rotation for weekend rounding (rarely requires coming in past rounds; 30-minute response radius required)
• EMR: Meditech Expanse
