Traditional Internal Medicine – Southern Illinois

• Hospital employed practice is seeking a BC/BE Internist to join their team
• Base salary: 300K with 2-year guarantee
• 20-bed critical access hospital with 4 physicians and several APPs
• See an average of 8-12 patients per day on the acute floor, swing bed patients, and patient observation
• Shared call every 4th weekend for acute care rounding plus weekly call for unassigned admissions
• Monday – Friday schedule
• Primary care patients seen in Family Medical Center after rounds (typically 1 hour or less)
• Provide orders to APP who does all notifications of orders to ancillary departments and to nurses. APPs also do H&P, discharge orders, and charts
• EMR

• Located 30 minutes from Carbondale, 45 minutes from Belleville, an hour from St. Louis, and 4 hours from Chicago
