Summary: Provide direct medical care to patients of the Foundation served across seven rural satellite clinics, under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer.

Additional Expectations:
• Provider will assist in providing community health and willing to be trained in testing and in the treatment and management of HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, STIs, COVID, PREP/PEP and any other community health issues.
• Provider must be willing to travel across seven rural satellite clinic locations where Primary Care is integrated with behavioral health in conjunction with Local Mental Health Authorities.

Qualifications/Experience:
• Candidate must be a licensed to practice as an APRN or PA in Texas with no pending or previous disciplinary action from any state licensing entity.
• Preferred experience in working in a FQHC or similar health center.

Time/Physical Requirements
• Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, (4 x 10-hour shifts) days TBD based on needs of the clinic.
• Some evening and weekend activities may require flexing schedule.
• Travel to satellite clinic locations will be required 80% of the time, company vehicle will be made available.
• Tasks occur in both medical office and clinic setting.
• Able to lift 25lbs and perform normal duties associated in a clinic and office setting.

Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages, including making appropriate referrals for substance abuse and behavioral health needs as needed.
• Assesses patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories.
• Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies, interpreting test results.
• Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
• Performs therapeutic procedures by administering injections and immunizations; suturing; managing wounds and infections.
• Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens; giving normal growth and development information; discussing family planning; providing counseling on emotional problems of daily living; promoting wellness and health maintenance.
• Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies and protocols.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management of needed actions.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
