Nocturnist Opportunity – Community Hospital Setting (Illinois) 

• Seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Nocturnist to join a well-established, independent community hospital in Illinois. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a supportive, collegial environment with a strong emphasis on work-life balance and high-quality patient care. 

Position Highlights:

• 7-on/7-off schedule (Tuesday–Tuesday), 7 PM–7 AM
• Covers inpatient service for 3 daytime hospitalists
• Average census ~45 patients with approximately 7 admissions per night
• Nocturnist-only coverage model (no hospitalist APPs overnight)
• No procedures required; procedural privileges available for interested physicians
• eICU support for overnight ventilator management
• ED-led codes and rapid response with Nocturnist support as needed
• No in-house specialists overnight, but robust on-call specialty support available
