Hospitalist & Nocturnist Openings – Coastal Virginia

• Multi-specialty, independent medical group seeks BC/BE Internists & Family Practitioners to join their team
• Average hospitalist earns 300-350k and nocturnists earn on average 400-425k – compensation is tied to schedule and productivity 
• Flexible schedule provided – option for 7 on/7 off if desired
• Full-time is 16-18 shifts per month
• Three opportunities available – opportunities in metropolitan, suburban, and rural communities
• Average of 16-18 patients per shift
• Hospitals vary with open and closed ICU:

  • Hospital 1: Open ICU, Secondary code coverage
  • Hospital 2: Closed ICU, Secondary code coverage
  • Hospital 3: Open ICU, Primary code coverage

• Physicians start their day with a rounding list and are asked to be in the hospital by 8:30am. Once rounds are complete, they are free to leave. Different locations have different times that you cover the pager. Typically, pages roll to admit at 1700. There are about 4 admit shifts a month. Admits are from 7-7. If you do not have primary code coverage, you do not have to stay in-house.
• All hospitals have full-time nocturnists
• EMR – EPIC

• All available opportunities are within 40 minutes of the beach
• Airport available nearby with non-stop flights to over 25 major US cities. Depending on site chosen, this airport is 5-35 minutes from clinic
