Location: Louisiana
Southern Louisiana – 2 Days Clinic + Inpatient Mix | Palliative Care Role
- 281 licensed bed hospital
- Adding another provider because due to growth
- Would be joining a practice with one palliative care physician
- Over 350 consults per month
- Freestanding clinic with APRN consulting with physician
Provide Palliative Care Clinic at Cancer Center 2 days per week – MD and APP, virtual and in person
- Activities that Palliative Care Physicians participate in: Collaborating physician with 5 APRNs
- Review inpatient docs by APRNs
- Perform consults on inpatients
- Present educational in-services
- Lead weekly IDT for Pall. Care Team/Round on units with hospitalists
- No formal call schedule – rare weekend calls from attendings
- Committee participation
- Participant on Palliative Care Steering Committee
Compensation/Benefits
- Compensation $ $260,000 – depending on experience
- 3-year Employment Agreements
- Student Loan Reimbursement is up to $60,000 over 3 years ($20,000 per year)
- CME – 5 days and $3,500 per year
- Relocation – up to $10,000 with receipts
