Ohio – Neurology Movement Disorders

A large academic-affiliated health system in Southwest Ohio, in partnership with Wright State University’s Boonshoft School of Medicine, is seeking a BC/BE Neurologist with subspecialty expertise in Movement Disorders to join a well-established, multidisciplinary Clinical Neuroscience Institute and an affiliated Neurology Residency Program (four residents per class).

This role offers the opportunity to join an already established Movement Disorders clinic and referral network, supported by state-of-the-art technology and equipment. The successful candidate will collaborate with a large, employed neurology group of approximately 20 neurologists across multiple subspecialties.

Position Highlights

  • Established Movement Disorders practice with strong referral base
  • Multidisciplinary collaboration with Neurology, Neuropsychology, and Functional Neurosurgery
  • Active involvement in Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) care, including pre- and post-surgical evaluations
  • Academic faculty appointment with teaching responsibilities for medical students and residents
  • Multiple outpatient locations and coverage of a main teaching hospital for inpatient neurology

Call & Practice Model

  • Call is competitively spaced and taken from home
  • Limited to general neurology
  • Stroke call managed by a dedicated stroke team
  • Comprehensive Stroke Center designation
  • Fully integrated EMR, wireless communication, and advanced imaging and laboratory capabilities

Qualifications

  • BC/BE in Neurology
  • Subspecialty training and/or board certification in Movement Disorders (or actively pursuing)
  • Comfort with DBS evaluations and multidisciplinary surgical care
  • Interest in academic medicine and teaching
