Oregon health system has an opportunity for an Acute Care Surgeon

• They are seeking a 0.8FTE Trauma and or Acute Care Surgeon to join 4 surgeons. They are seeking an individual who is dynamic, enthusiastic about trauma and acute care surgery, willing to learn new technology, and someone who can provide a positive role model to their resident trainees.
• They are a 188-bed medical facility. The only hospital in the city, it is a level II trauma center.

Job Specifics

• 70 24-hour shifts per year (includes weekend and weekday shifts), plus 50 weekday 10-hour rounding shifts
• No electives cases
• 20-Bed ICU
• Level 2 Trauma Center
• Rotating schedule to provide 24-hour coverage
• Work with surgical residents and medical students

Requirements

• Board Certified/ Board Eligible
• 3-5 years’ surgical experience preferred
• Surgical/Critical Care fellowship required
• ATLS/BCLS Certified
• Eligibility to work in the United States
