Hospitalist Medical Director – San Francisco Bay Area

Local Team Collaboration:

• They take pride in their well-established team. Currently, they have a team size of 16. Typically, they have 6 daytime rounders, 1 swing physician and 1 nocturnist. They also have the support of a clinical performance nurse dedicated to their team.

Qualifications:

• A medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution is required.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine and preferred minimum of 2 years of hospitalist leadership experience.
• An active medical license in California or eligibility for licensure is required.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Practice in the Heart of the Community

Flexible Scheduling:

• Medical Director schedule includes ten clinical shifts a month in addition to administrative time to focus on leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• The Hospital is a 415-bed acute-care hospital with a 28 bed ICU and 23-bed emergency room.
• Closed ICU – the ICU team runs 24/7 intensivist support and codes.
• Manageable workload and encounters foster a balanced and supportive work environment.
