  • Northwestern Pennsylvania hospital system is seeking a Trauma/Acute Care Surgeon with interest in trauma surgery, emergency general surgery and surgical critical care at their Level II, 423 bed regional hub hospital
  • This opportunity will allow you to live in a beautiful, four-season, affordable city on the water, in a family-friendly community with short commutes to the hospital from many surrounding neighborhoods. Situated less than two hours from Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Buffalo. Toronto is less than four hours away. You will love living here!

Their Multidisciplinary Trauma Care Team includes:

  • General and trauma surgeons
  • Emergency physicians and nurses
  • Neurosurgeons
  • Interventional radiologists
  • Orthopaedic surgeons
  • Cardiovascular surgeons
  • Radiologists
  • Anesthesiologists
  • Reconstructive surgeons

 

Qualifications

  • Completed training in general surgery and surgical critical care or surgical critical care / acute care surgery
  • American Board Eligible/American Board Certified in Surgery and Surgical Critical Care
  • Superior clinical skills
  • Strong commitment to academic surgery and surgical education

 

Position Details:

  • Accredited Level II Trauma Center (only trauma center within a 90 mi. radius)
  • Multidisciplinary trauma team, including, but not limited to, trauma surgeons, orthopaedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, interventional radiologists and cardiovascular surgeons
  • Annual trauma patient volume – 2000+
  • 24/7 advanced practice provider support
  • Trauma bays featuring leading-edge diagnostic and testing equipment
