Louisiana – Orthopedic Physician – Generalist or Sports Medicine
- Ortho is a 5 person practice with one being pediatric ortho. And the other sports/shoulder specialty
- Looking to add on to practice and to grow it by two physicians
- There are two PA’s in the group
- The call is shared with the Ochsner docs and weekend is rotated. Approximately every 6th weekend
- One xray and one more to come with clinic addition
- One MA or nurse with each doctor
- 2 MRI machines at OPP
- May do 25 – 30 cases per month depending on severity and complexity of procedure.
- Ambulatory Surgery Center being built to be finished by January 2025
- Bone and Joint wants to grow the practice and will be expanding the clinic to allow to two more docs
- Population of the area is growing and aging – opportunity for more patients
- The many primary care clinics that STPN operates and is planning for more will allow for more referrals.
- Average 4 exam rooms per provider.
- There are about 15-20 community physicians in ortho.
