Georgia – Trauma Surgery

• West Georgia health system is seeking a board certified/board eligible Acute Care General Surgeon to join their hospital employed Surgical Group consisting of 6 board certified general surgeons and 4 full-time APPs.
• Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Will provide coverage to primarily inpatient & emergency department consults at two nearby acute care hospitals (one is 181 bed and growing and the other is 53 beds and growing.)
• Receives ED calls, transfers, and referrals from the heath system’s critical access hospitals as well
• Monday – Friday; 7a – 5p
• No weeknight call coverage responsibilities, and weekend call coverage obligations will be evenly split with your general surgery physician colleagues. 

Job Eligibility Requirements

Education:

• M.D. or D.O. degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
• Unrestricted Georgia physician license, or able to obtain
• Residency trained in General Surgery; Board certified or eligible in General Surgery
• Proven competency
