Georgia health system is seeking a board eligible/board certified Palliative Medicine physician to expand their current palliative care service line, by offering inpatient and limited outpatient services in west Georgia.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Join an established collaborative and collegial inpatient palliative care team comprised of one physician, a dedicated full-time LPN, and a full-time licensed social worker and help us develop an outpatient program that will enhance and grow their Palliative Care services
- Function as a program builder by overseeing the design & implementation of an outpatient palliative care clinic, to ultimately include Home Based Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner program.
- Experience practicing Palliative Medicine in an acute care hospital setting with program management experience preferred.
- Monday – Friday (5 days/40 hours per week).
Education
- Board Certified in Hospice and Palliative Care through American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine
- Board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine or General Surgery
- Completion of an accredited Palliative Medicine Fellowship
- Current GA Medical License or must meet eligibility requirements
