North Carolina - Laborist – (55702)

Location: North Carolina

expanding its Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology and are seeking an Academic Laborist.

The successful candidate will work in conjunction with the OBGYN faculty to provide care at the Labor and Delivery Unit at Health Medical Center. The position will include 14 (12 hour shifts) or 7 (24 hour shifts) per month. Shifts will include weekend coverage.

The mission of the Department of OBGYN encompasses the triad of academic medicine: leadership in patient care, teaching of medical students and resident physicians, and the pursuit of clinical and basic science research. The department supports a four-year, fully accredited residency in obstetrics and gynecology and provides education for medical students on a continual basis.

Candidates must hold or be eligible for certification from the American Board and have a minimum of 1 year of clinical practice.
