About 30 minutes North from Boston. Candidates would have a primary care panel of patients in the clinic for at least 10-20% of their time. This is not an academic role and there is no research
• My client is currently seeking for a Residency Program Director to be part of their growing team.
• Join their Core Faculty, the nation’s first teaching health center and an ACGME Pilot Four Year Length of Training. Nationally recognized as a leader in community medicine (family practice, pediatrics, internal medicine, and geriatrics), they have clinical sites in Lawrence, Methuen, and Haverhill and is the sponsoring organization for the Lawrence Family Medicine Residency Program (LFMR).
• LFMR is searching for a Residency Program Director (RPD) responsible for clinical oversight and administration of the LFMR Residency Program.
• This position supports the Mission of GLFHC to improve and maintain the health of individuals and families in the Merrimack Valley by providing a network of high quality, comprehensive health care and services and by training health care professionals who can respond to the needs of a culturally diverse population.
• Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), the Residency Program Director (RPD) provides direction and leadership necessary to maintain the Family Medicine Residency Program with full Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accreditation as well as other accrediting bodies (the Joint Commission, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts).
• The RPD is responsible for oversight, approval, and monitoring faculty appointments, assignments, outcomes and proper conduct of educational activities. The RPD approves clinical and teaching schedules and oversees resident supervision and scholarly activity for faculty.
Requirements
• Experience: 5-10 years of teaching experience in a clinical, academic or administrative capacity.
• Have a strong community health/public health orientation, be experienced in patient care management, and should possess all of the qualifications of a staff physician.
• Must have completed an accredited residency program in Family Medicine.
• Possesses high energy and enthusiasm.
• Must be effective consensus builder and leader in addition to system thinker with ability to educate and mentor.
• Must have a strong moral compass with an unwavering commitment to integrity, inclusiveness and the just and fair treatment of all.
