• Hospital is seeking 3 new full-time Adult and Child/Adolescent Psychiatry faculty members at the Assistant or Associate Professor level on the clinical scholar pathway. These 3 physicians will join their team of professionals to provide inpatient psychiatry services. There is an opportunity to do outpatient services if desired. Call is: 1 weeknight per month and 3-4 weekends per year. Inpatient psychiatry services include an 18 bed Adult Unit and a 12 bed Child/Adolescent Unit. Care is delivered in a multi-disciplinary approach.
• They offer excellent sub-specialty coverage with ED visits above 46,000. These positions will be part of a new Division in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Vermont. UVM Psychiatry is known internationally as a center of excellence for innovative family-based empirical assessment and treatment.
• Selected candidates will be responsible for direct patient care along with, potentially, supervision and teaching of child psychiatry fellows, residents, and medical students. An appreciation of the importance of and satisfaction from working as part of an innovative service model and an ability to work collaboratively are essential. An interest in clinical research, teaching, and/or public health is a plus. Knowledge of evidence-based medical practice is essential.
• Annual salary is $275,000 with a comprehensive benefit package including 10 days of CME. Relocation assistance of $10,000 and loan repayment up to $60,000 is offered.
