Hospitalist – Northern Maine

• Federally Qualified Health Center seeks BC/BE Internist to serve as Hospitalist
• Competitive base salary offered – to be discussed with employer directly
• Join 4 full-time hospitalists, including a dedicated weekend hospitalist who provides coverage  from 6 am Saturday to 6 am Monday
• Schedule:
  • Fifteen 12-hour shifts per 4 week period
  • Shifts only Monday – Friday – even mix of days and nights
  • Shifts begin at 6 am or 6 pm
• Average daytime census: 25-26
• Cover a 6-bed combined Med/Surg ICU, 24-bed Med-Surg unit, and admissions from ER
• Manage post-surgical patients on ventilators, run codes, perform pre-operative assessments for attending surgeons, and coordinate patient transfers for specialized care as needed
• Hospitalists are infrequently asked to cover additional shifts to cover vacation, CME, holidays, etc
