• This is a new position for this Medical Center. For many years, they were supported by a traveling Endocrinologist but that program ended several years ago and their patients have had to travel for appointments. They just received ADA certification for their Diabetic Education Program and feel this is a good time to bring in an Endocrinologist to join the team.
• They currently have an RN-CDE and part-time APRN-CDE supporting the program. The Endocrinologist would be based in their office which is attached to the hospital and was constructed in 2018. Within the practice they have primary care, behavioral health, specialty providers (pulmonology, general surgery, orthopedics, a chronic pain program, podiatry, urology, pulmonology, sleep medicine, ENT, and neurology), a Healogics Wound Center, and oncology program.
• This is an outpatient Monday-Friday position with no call. The endocrinologist would likely do outreach at their partner hospitals
• This would be a solo practice
