Illinois – General Surgery
• Medical Center is a 99 bed community based hospital with an employed physician model.  They currently employ 68 physicians in 35 areas of medicine.  In addition to their hospital and main clinic, they offer 12 additional satellite facilities in the surrounding service areas. 
• They are currently seeking a BC/BE General Surgeon who prefers to practice in an environment that will offer a comfortable work-life balance in a community of about 26,000 residents.  Schedule can be either be full time or part time depending upon the candidate’s needs.  The ideal candidate will have a broad-based traditional general surgery background.  The procedures include all abdominal, all breast, some endocrine, and minimal trauma.  The cases can be broadly described as bread and butter.  Laparoscopic skills required.  Thoracic surgical skills preferred.  Minimally Invasive Fellowship trained is also preferred. 
• Call is (1:3), and you will be joining a practice with 2 other surgeons with RN and MA support.  They have ultrasound and stereotactic breast biopsies, as well as breast MR on-site.
