Hospital will become a Level II Trauma Center in 2019, the only such center in the southern half of the state. While awaiting designation the hospital is already operating as a trauma center, with four trauma surgeons, dedicated staff, leadership, and resources.

Fellowship in Trauma Critical Care

• BC/BE in Surgery
• BC/BE in Surgical Critical Care

• Trauma call 1:4
• General surgery cases
• Surgical ICU coverage
• Additional specialties: vascular, thoracic, cardiac, colorectal, surgical oncology, breast, ortho
• Da Vinci Xi
• Optional academic appointments with SIU School of Medicine
